| The message of Salvation is a message of love--for Salvation is the purest love there ever has been or ever will be. The message of Salvation may start at a place called Mt. Calvary, but it goes far beyond that old rugged cross. You see, the only barrier to Salvation is one's refusal to believe and accept it, for it reaches from far down into the despair of gutters and ghettos to the dizzying heights of fame and fortune. The message of Salvation is more powerful than any other in the world, for through its delivery and by its acceptance, it changes lives as nothing else e'er could. The message of Salvation--an endless hope instead of a hopeless end--a Loving Savior with arms stretched open wide, inviting all who will to, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely. Revelation 22:17. The message of Salvation: That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. Romans 10:9. The message of Salvation--a love so desperately needed by countless thousands whose hearts are broken, minds are confused, lives are shattered and souls are lost. The message of Salvation that beckons with outstretched arms of love: Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me. Revelation 3:20. The message of Salvation--forgiveness of our sins through Jesus Christ that changes every nuance of a life and is the sure cure for a soul that is lost and undone: "Sinner, you need a Savior." The message of Salvation: For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. John 3:16. The profession of Salvation: Whosoever therefore shall confess me before men, him will I confess also before my Father which is in heaven. Matthew 10:32. The message of Salvation--through Jesus Christ, the Only Begotten Son of God: too long neglected, too quickly set aside, too casually disregarded, too frequently ignored. Each person must ask forgiveness of his or her own sins--it cannot be done for us--it must be done by each of us, individually. Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling. Philippians 2:12. It does NOT say work FOR, but work OUT our own salvation. It has to be a personal, individual experience between each person and Jesus Christ. Each of us must make the decision for Christ--to ask Him for forgiveness of our sins; only He can offer and give that forgiveness. NO ONE but Jesus Christ can forgive sin and save our soul. Jesus told Thomas, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. John 14:6. Did you see it there? Not "a" way, not "some" way, not "one of the ways", but "the" way, "the" truth, and "the" life. No one can get to Our Heavenly Father, except by, of, in and through Jesus Christ. Now read it again, won't you? Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also. And whither I go ye know, and the way ye know. Thomas saith unto him, Lord, we know not whither thou goest; and how can we know the way? Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. John 14:1-6.He and He ALONE is our High Priest. There is NO other with the power to save--there is NO other with the power to forgive sin. The Plan of Salvation: freely offered to all who will accept Jesus Christ as their personal Savior by asking forgiveness of their sins. We've all heard someone say, "I don't need to be saved--I'm not a bad person, I've not doing anything wrong." If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us. I John 1:8-10. I know you read it, but see it again, won't you? If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. I John 1:9. Isn't that wonderful? IF we will only confess our sins, Jesus WILL forgive us and make us clean! See, there we go again: "If you, then God." If we will do our part, God is faithful and just to do His part:
Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind, Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God. I Corinthians 6:9,10. He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son. But the fearful, and unbelieving, and abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death. Revelation 21:7,8. The world would never equate lying with murder. And while it's a fact that telling a lie will not, in most circumstances, do the devastation of murder, please understand, in the eyes of God a liar is just as separated from God as a murderer. Matter of fact, even if I strive to tell the truth all my life and never believe on Jesus Christ, I am separated from God and cannot enter into an eternal reward with Him. (Did you see it above--"unbelieving"?) So the fact one has never committed "a great sin" (such as the world defines murder and other such crimes against one another) will not gain their entry into eternity with God. Sin IS sin IS sin. And sin SEPARATES us from God (Isaiah 59:2). For the sake of where you will spend everlasting eternity, if you do not know the Lord Jesus Christ as your personal Savior, don't wait. (For he saith, I have heard thee in a time accepted, and in the day of salvation have I succoured thee: behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.) II Corinthians 6:2. Whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away. James 4:14. Salvation is the Ultimate message of Divine Love. The most excellent story ever told--the most wonderful offer ever made, and it's to all of us, Remember? Whosoever. That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life. For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved. But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God. John 3:15-21. | |||
