Faith And we praise and we adore Him, He Who set the captive free.
Then we go home undecided, and we second-guess our Lord,
On the promises He gave us which are in His Holy Word
Now the Word says faith is substance of the evidence not seen.
Do we understand the message in the words there that we read?
When we step out on His promises, those words are guaranteed
By our Holy Father Who we know supplies our every need.
For by faith Noah built an ark, 'ere earth was still dry-shod.
And by faith we are reminded, Enoch was caught up to God.
By faith God's children crossed dry land, God parted back the sea--
By faith the walls of Jericho came tumbling down, we read.
By faith the lions' mouths were closed, they did not take a bite.
By faith the Hebrew boys burned not, four men the king did sight.
By faith the prison doors swung wide and Peter walked away;
By faith ole' Stephen stood his ground and saw the Lord that day.
It daily in our speech and work and always in our life.
For if no faith we find we have, we can't hope to receive
The blessings that He has for us. We must, we must believe!
Believe His promises, trust His Word, He is yea and amen.
He will not leave nor forsake us, He's with us to the end.
For if by faith we stand up tall, the Lord is at our side.
Our faith in Him He will reward, we will not be denied.
Faith is the victor over sin and death and all disease.
Faith is the conquerer of our foes--faith gives us liberty.
For if by faith we live our days, the battle is the Lord's;
It is by faith we'll leave this place: reign with Him evermore!
