The Unseen Tears |

In the public playground, see her standing there. Clothes tattered and dirty and torn, feet are nearly bare. The others mock and scorn her, chasing her away-- Hers aren't the only tears to fall today.
A phone call comes near midnight; wrenching sobs bespeak Of a life once full of hope, lost to drugs and drink. The children will grow up without a father's love and cheer-- They aren't the only ones to cry sad tears.
Careless words now spoken, friendships are betrayed. Those once close are parted; enemies now made. Pride prevents the healing and bitter tears soon flow-- Theirs are not the only tears, you know.
In another place and time, wanes the weary night; For the quiet of the end when the soul takes flight. One they've loved for many years soon will hear death's call-- No, theirs are not the only tears to fall.
In a busy courtroom, it's just another case Of a broken life gone wrong; oh what a dreadful waste! A son looks back but it's too late, his mother cannot go-- Yet even as she sobs her tears, she does not cry alone.
Unseen tears on an unseen face of an unseen man; Jesus knows all our pain as He stands at God's right hand. Waiting for the call of need, feeling every loss-- Those are the tears that we've forgot: tears from Calvary's cross. |

...It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us. Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter. Nay, in ALL these things we are MORE than conquerors THROUGH HIM THAT LOVED US. For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 8:34-39.
It's a hard world we live in today. There are so many things that can quickly develop in our lives--things we are completely unable to cope with. How precious to know there is nothing that can separate us from our Savior! He awaits your call. If life has begun to press in on you, call on Jesus. Let Him care for you as no other ever could. |
