The Blessing In No" God said, "No.
"It is not for me to take away, but for you to give up."
I asked God to make my handicapped child whole.
God said, "No.
"Her spirit is whole--her body is only temporary."
I asked God to give me patience.
God said, "No.
"Patience is a by-product of tribulations. It isn't granted, it's earned."
I asked God to give me happiness.
God said, "No.
"I give you blessings. Happiness is up to you."
I asked God to spare me pain.
God said, "No.
"Suffering draws you apart from worldly cares and draws you closer to me."
I asked God to make my spirit grow.
God said, "No.
"You must grow on your own, but I will prune you to make you productive."
I asked God for all things that I might enjoy life.
God said, "No.
"I will give you life so that you may enjoy all things."
I asked God to help me love others, as much as He loves me.
God said, "AAAhhhhhhhhh! Finally, you have the idea!"

Be Thankful If you did, what would there be to look forward to?
Be thankful you don't know something
For it gives you the opportunity to learn.
Be thankful for the difficult times.
During those times, you grow.
Be thankful for your limitations.
They give you opportunities for improvement.
Be thankful for each new challenge.
They will build your strength and character.
Be thankful for your mistakes.
They will teach you valuable lessons.
Be thankful when you are tired and weary.
It means you've made a difference.
It is easy to be thankful for just the good things.
It takes real strength of character to be thankful for all things.
Find a way to be thankful, even for your troubles.
They can become your blessings.

God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Psalm 46:1.
He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust. Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence. He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler. Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flieth by day; Nor for the pestilence that walketh in darkness; nor for the destruction that wasteth at noonday. Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 8:35,37-39.
For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin. Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need. Hebrews 4:15,16.
We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; Persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down, but not destroyed; For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day.
