In the mansion of my heart...
I have a treasure room.

Just a few short years ago, I would not, I could not have ever have made such a statement. I was angry, dark and brooding, without light or life or joy. Sure, I existed, but it was a mere existence of anger and suspicion and hatefulness.
   But then...
   But then God...
But then God, in His infinite wisdom, allowed me to come to a place in my life where I had to decide if I wanted to continue on my present course: spiritually bankrupt, mentally confused, and morally corrupt. Or, I could fling myself at the feet of His Only Begotten Son and plead for the mercy I could never deserve.
Some of my treasures I'd had for many years, yet in my state of sin and willful disobedience to God, I did not recognize or care for them as such. It took my being faced with the very real possibility of eternally losing my treasures, that I realized I didn't want that to happen at all.
When I asked forgiveness of my sins, God not only restored that which I had wasted or thrown away, He also added to them in His exceedingly abundant way. And while it is impossible to show them all here, I want to share with you some of those treasures with which I have been so lovingly and mercifully blessed.
Beloved Aunt Marie    If there is any one person, this side of Jesus Christ, that I would wish everyone could have one of, it would be my Aunt Marie. An ever faithful servant of the Lord Jesus Christ, this lady has fervently prayed for me through the years. I honestly don't believe there is anyone who will ever cook better than she, or hug with the same depth of genuine love that only she can. Ever ready with a laugh and word of encouragement to lift my spirits, despite her own many trials and losses in life, she has always exemplified the kind of CHRISTian I want to be. Whether kin by blood or not, everyone who has ever met Aunt Marie has claimed her for their own. Thank You, Father, for this treasure in my life, for she holds a high place of honor, forever, in my heart.

Our precious Son who taught us love Our precious youngest daughter, a diamond the Lord hung arond the street person's neck Our precious oldest daughter, the sunshine in our lives
I never knew the meaning of I Corinthians
13's love until we began our odyssey with
Ricky. I'm so proud of what Jesus has done
and continues to do for him! And I'm proud of
what Ricky is allowing the Lord to do in his
life. I love you, my precious son!
Charli is the diamond the Lord hung around the street person's neck. God gave me this child, who, despite all my resistance to the contrary for so long, daily reminded me of Jesus' love. She is my constant encourager.
I love you, my precious daughter!
Tiffany brightens any room she enters. She is witty and warm; I enjoy her company so much! She is an excellent wife and mother, a loving sister and daughter. How pleasing you are to the Lord and me. I love you, my precious daughter!
Thank You Jesus, for your everlasting mercy!

Oh Heavenly Father, You have been so good to me!
Know my heart, Heavenly Father, as I thank You for Your Beloved Son, Who offered Himself for me.
I was wretched and vile, yet He reached down into the gutter of my own making and lifted me out.
I shall forever be amazed by Your Amazing Grace and overwhelmed by Your Incomparable Love.

But God didn't stop there. In His infinite love and everlasting mercy, through His Amazing Grace of which I am so fond yet totally undeserving, He caused my path to cross with those of these wonderful people. They, too, are amongst the treasures in the mansion of my heart. I have learned so much from each and every one of them.
If you could have known how unfriendly and friendless I was before I returned to the Lord, you would surely understand how much they mean to me. With all my heart, I thank each of them for the hands of friendship and fellowship in the Lord that each of them has extended to me.
I lift Your Name, Jesus, for You are Worthy of all praise and honor and glory!
