Our God:
The God of "RE"

Our God is The REal God:
And God said unto Moses, I AM THAT I AM: and he said, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, I AM hath sent me unto you. Exodus 3:14.

But the Lord is the true God, he is the living God, and an everlasting king... Jeremiah 10:10.

And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent. John 17:3.

And we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we may know him that is true, and we are in him that is true, even in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life. I John 5:20.

Our God is The God of REbirth:
There was a man of the Pharisees, named Nicodemus…The same came to Jesus by night...Jesus answered...Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. Nicodemus saith...How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother's womb, and be born? Jesus answered...I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. John 3:1-6.

Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers; But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot: Who verily was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you, Who by him do believe in God, that raised him up from the dead, and gave him glory; that your faith and hope might be in God. Seeing ye have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the spirit unto unfeigned love of the brethren, see that ye love one another with a pure heart fervently: Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever. I Peter 1:18-23.

Our God is The God of REpentance:
I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish. Luke 13:5.

...Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. Acts 2:38.

For godly sorrow worketh repentance to salvation not to be repented of... II Corinthians 7:10.

The Lord is not slack concerning his promise...but is longsuffering... not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance. II Peter 3:9.

Our God Is The God of REsurrection:
But as touching the resurrection of the dead... God is not the God of the dead, but of the living. Matthew 22:31,32.

And Jesus answering said unto them... But they which shall be accounted worthy to obtain that world, and the resurrection from the dead, neither marry, nor are given in marriage: Neither can they die any more: for they are equal unto the angels; and are... the children of the resurrection. Luke 20:34-36.

Marvel not at this: for the hour is coming, in the which all that are in the graves shall hear his voice, And shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life; and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation. John 5:25-29.

Jesus said... I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live: And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. John 11:21-26.

...We also should walk in newness of life. For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection... Knowing that Christ being raised from the dead dieth no more; death hath no more dominion over him. Romans 6:3-9.

Now if Christ be preached that he rose from the dead, how say some among you that there is no resurrection of the dead? But if there be no resurrection of the dead, then is Christ not risen: And if Christ be not risen, then is our preaching vain, and your faith is also vain... Then they which are fallen asleep in Christ are perished. If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men most miserable. I Corinthians 15:12-19.

So also is the resurrection of the dead. It is sown in corruption; it is raised in incorruption: It is sown in dishonour; it is raised in glory: it is sown in weakness; it is raised in power: It is sown a natural body; it is raised a spiritual body. I Corinthians 15:42-44.

Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years. Revelation 20:6.

Our God Gave His Son for REmission of Our Sins:
Then opened he their understanding, that they might understand the scriptures, And said unto them, Thus it is written, and thus it behoved Christ to suffer, and to rise from the dead the third day: And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nation... Luke 24:45-47.

For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus: Whom God hath set forth...to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past... Romans 3:23-25.

Our God, Our REdeemer:
And an highway shall be there...and it shall be called the way of holiness...the unclean shall not pass over it...the redeemed shall walk there... with songs and everlasting joy...and sorrow and sighing shall flee away. Isaiah 35:8-10.

Thus saith the Lord the King of Israel, and his redeemer the Lord of hosts; I am the first, and I am the last; and beside me there is no God. Isaiah 44:6.

I have blotted out...thy transgressions, and...thy sins...for I have redeemed thee. Isaiah 44:22.

As for our redeemer, the Lord of hosts is his name, the Holy One of Israel. Isaiah 47:4.

...Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ; Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity... Titus 2:11-14.

Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things...But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot. I Peter 1:18,19.

Our God REstores . . .
The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake. Psalm 23:1-3.

. . . and REvives:
Wilt thou not revive us again: that thy people may rejoice in thee? Psalm 85:6.

Though I walk in the midst of trouble, thou wilt revive me: thou shalt stretch forth thine hand against the wrath of mine enemies, and thy right hand shall save me. The Lord will perfect that which concerneth me... Psalm 138:7,8.

For thus saith the high and lofty One ...whose name is Holy...with him also that is of a contrite and humble spirit, to revive the spirit of the humble, and to revive the heart of the contrite ones. Isaiah 57:15.

And the Lord gave them rest round about... and there stood not a man of all their enemies before them... Joshua 21:44, 45.

Commit thy way unto the Lord; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass...Rest in the Lord, and wait patiently for him... Psalm 37:5,6.

Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest...for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. Matthew 11:28,29.

There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God. For he that is entered into his rest, he also hath ceased from his own works, as God did from his. Let us labour therefore to enter into that rest... Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need. Hebrews 4:9-16.

And I heard a voice from heaven saying unto me, Write, Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord... that they may rest from their labours; and their works do follow them. Revelation 14:13.

Our God REpairs Our Brokenness:
The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me; because the Lord hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound...to comfort all that mourn...to give unto them beauty for ashes...the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness...that he might be glorified. Isaiah 61:1-3.

I will...bind up that which was broken, and will strengthen that which was sick… Ezekiel 34:16.

God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Psalm 46:1.

He only is my rock and my salvation: he is my defence; I shall not be moved. In God is my salvation and my glory: the rock of my strength, and my refuge, is in God. Trust in him at all times; ye people, pour out your heart before him: God is a refuge for us. Psalm 62:6-8.

But the Lord is my defence; and my God is the rock of my refuge. Psalm 94:22.

For the Son of man shall come in the glory of his Father with his angels; and then he shall reward every man according to his works. Matthew 16:27.
