Enoch was a man of God and served the Lord so well Death touched him not, he was caught up with his Lord to dwell. He was on the Lord's side.
Noah built an ark on land despite the jeers of men. Saved family, beasts two by two, when floods the Lord did send. He was on the Lord's side.
Abram passed the loyalty test when God required his heir; He obeyed, his son was saved, a ram was sent to spare; He was on the Lord's Side.
Jacob wrestled with the Lord, a blessing he did win; His name was changed to Israel, a Prince of God and men. He was on the Lord's side.
Joseph did not change his faith, though sold in slavery-- He prevailed and saved his kin, God gave him victory. He was on the Lord's side.
Moses led his people out of Egypt's bondage clear; The Red Sea parted back its froth, the promised land drew near. He was on the Lord's side.
Joshua led the marching throng, seven times around The sinful town of Jericho; the walls came tumbling down. He was on the Lord's side. |

Elijah challenged Baal's false prophets: "Seek fire, we'll have a test!" Elijah laughed when they could not, he knew his Lord was best. He was on the Lord's side.
Elisha got his "double share", power and attire, When Elijah left behind this earth in chariot of fire. He was on the Lord's side.
Daniel in the lion's den knew God would keep him well; The morning found him safe and whole, his enemies dispelled. He was on the Lord's side.
Shadrach, Meshach, Abednego refused to bend their knee; God walked with them there in the fire, four men there were, not three! They were on the Lord's side.
Job withstood old satan's plagues and God approved his stand; He restored all Job e'er had; Job was a faithful man. He was on the Lord's side.
John the Baptist lost his life to Salome who danced Because he would not honor sin, to Heaven he advanced. He was on the Lord's side.
Peter left his nets and ship and fished for souls on shore; He preached the Word until his death, beloved of the Lord. He was on the Lord's side.
John saw Heaven opened up and wrote his visions down; Beloved disciple, he revealed dire warnings profound. He was on the Lord's side.
Paul met the One he fought against, who changed his life so much; He turned from hatred toward the world with Salvation's touch. He was on the Lord's side. |
